Refund Policy

At The Realtist Network of Northern Virginia (RNNOVA), we greatly appreciate your contributions, ticket purchases, membership fees, and sponsor donations. Your support plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in homeownership. We want to be clear about our policy regarding refunds:

1. Refunds are Generally Not Standard Practice

Contributions to RNNOVA are typically considered charitable donations. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on these donations to fulfill our commitment to narrowing the wealth gap through homeownership, wealth management, and the fair treatment of humankind. Therefore, we do not generally offer refunds on these charitable contributions.

2. Exceptions to the Refund Policy

Refunds may be considered only in rare, extraordinary situations, and such determinations will be made by the RNNOVA Executive Board. These exceptional cases may include, but are not limited to:

2.1. Ticketed Events: Refunds for ticketed events may be granted in exceptional circumstances, such as event cancellation, date changes, or other compelling reasons. These determinations are made at the discretion of the RNNOVA Executive Board.

2.2. Membership Fees: Refunds for membership fees may be considered in cases of accidental double payment or other extraordinary circumstances. The RNNOVA Executive Board will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.

2.3. Sponsor Donations: Sponsor donations are generally considered final, as they directly support our initiatives. In rare situations where extraordinary circumstances arise, the possibility of a partial or full refund will be determined by the RNNOVA Executive Board.

3. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for an exception to our no-refund policy based on the criteria outlined above, please follow these steps:

3.2. Evaluation: Your request will be reviewed by the RNNOVA Executive Board, who will assess its eligibility for an exception. You may be asked for additional information or documentation during this process.

3.3. Notification: We will communicate the decision regarding your refund request within a reasonable timeframe. If approved, we will provide instructions for processing the refund.
